The ferry across Korsbådafjärden, which is part of the Björkö-Panike hiking trail in the Kvarken Archipelago, can be used only on weekends from August 16th until September 30th in 2025.

The solar-powered cable ferry on the 23-kilometer hiking trail between Björköby and Panike is back in operation this summer. The ferry is unmanned this summer; hikers will use the automatic ferry on their own.

Notice that from now on (August 16th) until September 30th the ferry will operate only on weekends!

The electric ferry will operate in good weather until the end of September according to the following timetable:

Instructions for identification are available at the Korsbådafjärden ferry terminal, https://www.neilos.fi/login . The pin code needed to drive the ferry is also available at the Kvarken World Heritage Gateway Visitor Centre in Replot or at the Cafe salteriet in Björköby, if you’re not able to register with strong identification.
