World Heritage Week in Vaasa
- Photographer Jaakko J. Salo will be exhibiting photographs of the World Heritage Site spanning several decades at the Vaasa Maritime Museum at 6.00 pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026. Free admission. Organised by the Vaasa Maritime Museum
- The Finnish World Heritage Association is organising its annual meeting and a seminar at the Swedish School of Economics in Vaasa from 13:00 to 16:00 on Wednesday 22 April 2026 (advance registration required)
- The Ministry of the Environment’s World Heritage Forum at the Almas Banquet Hall, Vaasa Adult Education Centre, from 10.00 to 16.00 on Thursday 23 April 2026 (advance registration required). Reception at the Ostrobothnian Museum/Terranova at 18.00 on Wednesday 22 April 2026. Organised by the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish World Heritage Association and the Kvarken World Heritage Association.
- “Follow Finland’s Coastal Trails” – book launch and talk with Harri Ahonen at Scandic Vaasa at 6 pm on Thursday 23 April 2026. Organised by VisitVasa
- Hike through post-glacial terrain on the Öjberg nature trail on Saturday 25 April from 11.00 am to approx. 12.30 pm in collaboration with the Meteoria section of the Sundom Village Association
- Throughout the week of 22–26 April, you can play Terranova’s World Heritage Bingo at the Ostrobothnian Museum from 10am to 5pm. (Entrance fee to the museum)
