Visit Vaasa's Summer Bus, Sundays 2.7-30.7.2023 - Svedjehamn

The red boathouses in Svedjehamn frame the special harbor environment. The idyllic harbor and its surroundings are an excellent destination for a day trip for those who want to experience the world heritage from both the point of view of nature and culture.

For those who want to experience the special nature in our archipelago, a hike along the 3.5 km long nature trail around Bodvattnet is recommended. Suitable rest areas are located at Bodback and at the fireplace next to the observation tower Saltkaret. From the 20 m high tower you can enjoy the view of the unique land uplift landscape. Would you like a coffee or something cold to drink? Then you visit Cafe & Restaurant Salteriet in the harbor. It is also possible to rent a bike at Salteriet and take a tour on your own. In Svedjehamn, you can also find Kvarken Shop, an arts & crafts store with a range of products made with respect to the nature and the values of the Kvarken Archipelago World Heritage. Visit the store to find handicraft, such as ceramic art, paintings, hand knitted products, woodwork and much more.
