Easy Access

With seamless connections by land, sea and air, Vaasa is an attractive location for doing business.

Vaasa is an international city with international companies, which is why we develop logistics to meet global needs. We not only focus on present needs but work strategically to be reachable from other parts of the world in the long run. Our logistics’ strength is the ability to combine different means of transportation, and through that, tailor logistical solutions to suit many entrepreneurs’ and companies’ ways of doing business.

Powering growth with reliable energy solutions

Vaasa’s infrastructure extends beyond transportation. The city is a leader in reliable and sustainable energy solutions, benefiting from Finland’s globally recognized electricity grid, with its world-class reliability rate. Vaasa is connected to Fingrid’s high-capacity transmission network, which includes modern facilities like the Tuovila substation. This robust infrastructure ensures reliable energy delivery to support industrial and energy-intensive operations.

Additionally, Vaasa is home to initiatives like EnergyVaasa, the largest energy technology hub in the Nordic countries, and GigaVaasa, a rapidly developing area focused on battery production and green energy solutions. The city is also looking ahead to the future of green energy through its involvement in Finland’s emerging hydrogen economy, where planned pipelines will enable industrial decarbonization and further integration of renewable energy.
