Expomark Oy to become the main coordinator of EnergyWeek
Published: 17.9.2026
In 2027, Expomark Oy will take primary responsibility for organising the EnergyWeek event. From 12 September 2026, Expomark, part of the Finnish Fair Corporation, will assume responsibility for coordinating the seminar programme and securing partners, in addition to its existing responsibilities. Expomark has already been involved in organising EnergyWeek for the past two years.
As one of Finland’s leading event organisers, Expomark will bring its extensive expertise to EnergyWeek, helping it to grow and evolve. Expomark’s operating model will streamline the event’s practical arrangements and provide a strong foundation for its future development.
VASEK has coordinated EnergyWeek throughout the event’s history
Vaasa EnergyWeek came about when separate energy-sector events were brought together under one umbrella. The main coordinator of the event since 2011 has been the Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK, led by Communications & Brand Manager Kristoffer Jansson since 2019.
“EnergyWeek is the result of sustained collaboration among a broad network of partners. Today, the event is a major international meeting place for the energy sector, offering participants the chance to deepen their expertise, forge new business relationships and network around the year’s key themes,” says Stefan Råback, CEO of VASEK.

For the EnergyVaasa cluster and its cooperation partners, EnergyWeek is the most important event of the year, every year. The EnergyWeek Board, which includes representatives of the brand owner, Technology Centre Merinova, as well as other key partner organisations, will continue to make key policies and decisions on the event.
The new operating model supports EnergyWeek’s growth
EnergyWeek has established itself as one of the most significant places in the Nordic countries for energy industry stakeholders to meet. The 2026 event attracted more than 11,000 visitors from 50 countries. The impressive week-long programme featured 41 seminars, 254 speakers and more than 200 exhibitors.
“I am thrilled that we now have additional resources through Expomark for the practical arrangements of EnergyWeek and access to Expomark’s extensive experience in organising large-scale events. The expertise of the founding organisations, in turn, strengthens the event’s content, strategic development and links with energy-sector stakeholders,” says Mayor Tomas Häyry.

Expomark Oy is an event organiser for the industrial and healthcare sectors, operating throughout Finland. The company’s event portfolio includes EnergyWeek, Energy Expo, Nordic Hydrogen Week, and the industrial events Botnia Industrial Day and the Northern Industry Event, among others.
“We are delighted to be working on every aspect of EnergyWeek, especially because of its fantastic network of partners that provide a wealth of industry expertise. Alongside the practical arrangements, the focus will be on the event’s long-term strategic development in cooperation with the founding organisations,” says Lumia Ankkuri, CEO of Expomark.
EnergyWeek 2027 will once again bring energy sector experts to Vaasa
The next EnergyWeek will take place from 15 to 18 March 2027. The day-specific themes for 2027 are Energy & Climate, Wind & Renewable Energy, Energy Storage & Clean Gas, and Data Centre Infrastructure & Operations.
“Preparations for EnergyWeek in spring 2027 are already well underway. You can find more details on the event’s redesigned website, and many exhibitors have already booked a stand for next spring,” Lumia Ankkuri says.
