As part of Vaasa City Library’s extensive overhaul of the library system, from 7 June the address of the online library will change to http://kirjasto.vaasa.fi/. You still log in to the online library with your personal customer ID and pin code.
– The online library’s pages look different, but there are still library events and news on the homepage. The content of the other pages will also remain similar in the new online library, says service manager Jimmy Pulli.
As a new function, customers can, among other things, order their own pin code instead of a forgotten number sequence. The code will be sent to their email. The PIN code is used to log in to the online library and can be used by customers to renew and reserve loans. Visitors will soon be able to register as customers in the new online library. Previously, these functions were handled only at the library’s customer service desk.
–Paying online is not yet possible as before, although the new online library will also have the option to pay late fees for materials later, says Pulli.
Summer opening hours come into effect
Vaasa City Library’s branch libraries will open no later than on Thursday 8 June, when the library switches to summer opening hours.
Of the branch libraries, Palosaari library and Sundom self-service library will open the day before, as they are testing the operation of the new system.
