Registration for Night of the Arts programme has started

This year, the Night of the Arts will be celebrated in Vaasa on 11 August 2022. The event this year will be celebrated in the carnival spirit which is hoped to be seen in both the programme and among participants. Registration for the programme has started and will be open until 22 June.
You can sign up for the Night of the Arts programme throughout the spring. This year, the last day to register is on 22 June 2022. The last day to register for bands is on 2 June 2022.
The online registration form is open on the City of Vaasa website. This year, you can register directly with the map service, where the desired venue, details and pictures of the performance will be marked. Bands sign up for the stages through the same service.
Carnival theme
The event this year will focus on a carnival theme. According to the programme, a wide variety of content is expected from artists, associations and clubs.
-We invite you to take part in a colourful and joyful carnival, where the city will be filled with large and small art celebrations,” says Acting Cultural Chef Leena Nyqvist from the City of Vaasa’s Cultural and Library Services.
The carnival celebration can be seen in the programme as well as among participants. We challenge the people of Vaasa to wear their own carnival costume and publish it under the hashtag #nightofthearts #carnival.
-It is hoped that the events will spread even more around the city and city districts, continues Nyqvist enthusiastically.
