Which art subjects are of interest to children and young people?

Tell us which art subjects are of interest to children and young people from Vaasa as well as their parents. Based on the answers to the survey, new trial courses in art subjects will be arranged in the autumn of 2023.

Based on the answers to the survey, we will arrange short trial courses in art subjects in the autumn of 2023. We want to develop art education so that it reaches all children and young people who want art as a hobby.
The Skapa i Vasaregionen project has been granted 62,000 euros in support from the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland (Svenska kulturfonden) for the year 2023. The project maps the already existing art education in Vaasa and which art subjects are of interest to children, young people as well as parents.
The goal of the project is to improve the availability and equality of art education for children and young people and to expand the range of art education.
The project covers the Vaasa-Mustasaari-Maalahti area. From the City of Vaasa, the basic art education institutions, Taikon and Kuula-opisto, are involved.
