This touching chamber concert, combining poetry and music, guides its audience through childhood summer days, autumn rains, spring greenery, and the timeless light of memories. In the glowing colors of autumn there is nostalgia, love, and eternity, in small moments, the philosophical beauty of life. Alongside poetry recitation, the audience will hear music for viols and flutes ranging from Henry Purcell and Leonora Duarte to Claude Debussy and Edgard Varèse, as well as improvisations.The concert texts are written by the poet and flautist Johanna Suvenmetsä.

Johann Suvenmetsä
Johanna Suvenmetsä is a versatile flautist, poet, reciter, and artist. She graduated with a Master of Music degree from the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2015, where she studied under Petri Alanko.
For more than a decade, Suvenmetsä has regularly conceived and organized concerts that combine classical music, poetry, spoken word, and improvisation. In addition to performing throughout Finland, she has presented solo concerts blending poetry and music internationally, including in Germany and Italy.
Suvenmetsä has extensive experience working with Finland’s professional orchestras, as well as in the artistic planning of concerts, poetry events, and festivals. She has also collaborated with artists from a wide range of disciplines. An active chamber musician, she regularly commissions and premieres contemporary music.
Suvenmetsä has published two collections of poetry and released an album with a guitarist and a reciter on the Pilfink label. Her most recent album, Mindscapes, was released in November 2025.
