TaiKon Summer Camps

TaiKon invites students in grades 1 to 6 to join the Art at the Barracks summer camp in June.

Art at the Barracks Camp for Grades 1 to 6, June 3 to 14, 2024

The Art at the Barracks camp starts on Monday, June 3, to Friday, June 14, 2024.

Registration for the Art at the Barracks camp opens on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00. This camp is tailored to primary school-aged children.

The camp actively engages participants in various art subjects, utilising different materials and methods of expression. Participants will explore workshops covering subjects such as theatre, crafts, visual arts, dance, circus, architecture, music, media arts, culinary arts, and ceramics, all led by experienced professionals of TaiKon. Instruction is provided in both English and Swedish, so the art-themed camp doubles as a language immersion experience! The camp spans two working weeks (Monday to Friday) and culminates in an exhibition and celebration.

The participants are divided into two age groups: 7–9-year-olds and 10–13-year-olds. Morning groups are for children aged 7–9, while afternoon groups are designed for children aged 10–13, while we also offer one afternoon group specifically tailored for 7–9-year-olds. It is important to note that the Art at the Barracks camp comprises several parallel groups. We will start forming the groups already during the registration period, so make sure to specify any potential friend requests already during registration, so we have better chances at fulfilling your wishes!

Afternoon Care

For the children who need afternoon care after the camp day, professional instructors will organise an engaging afternoon program at the Barracks until 16:00 for students in grades 1 to 3. NOTE! If you want to register your child for both the camp and afternoon care, be careful with using the code specific to it. Afternoon care places are limited, and morning care is not provided. You can access registration from the top right corner of this page.
