Hello young people: now there’s 2000 euros available for events and projects!

The Vaasa Youth Council grants support for young people’s self-initiated activities. Support can be applied for, for example, projects or events organised by young people, hobby activities of small groups, or partial funding for larger projects. The application period ends on April 30, 2024.

A total of 2,000 euros is available. Support can be applied for by groups consisting of young people aged 13–29, with at least two young members. The members of the group must reside or study in Vaasa.

Support available for organising, for example, a concert, competition, or LAN party

Through the grants, the Youth Council aims to activate other young people to realise events, which as many young people as possible can participate in.

– Once again, young people have a great opportunity to realise their ideas! I warmly recommend all interested parties to seize the opportunity and apply for funding for their project. With the support, one can organise, for example, a concert, sports competition, or a big LAN party! I hope that through the grants, Vaasa will see the emergence of great projects that engage young people, comments Aaro Helo, the chair of the Youth Council.

Support is awarded to projects planned and carried out by young people

The supported project must be planned, carried out, and finally evaluated with a reporting form by young people. The Youth Council will decide on the recipients and the amounts of the grants at their meeting on May 16, 2024. The supported activities must be organised between June and December 2024.
