Sibling discount

Sibling discount at Kuula-opisto

If more than one child attends from the same family, sibling discount of 10-50% of the tuition fees may be granted.

Discounts are calculated so that  discount is not given for the highest tuition fee, 10% for the next highest, 20% for the third, etc. The maximum sibling discount is 50%.

Example:

  • Child 1: tuition fee €285, no discount
  • Child 2: tuition fee €260, discount 10%
  • Child 3: tuition fee €71, discount 20%

Kuula-opisto grants the fee reduction automatically.

Sibling discounts do not apply to open-studies students.

Withdrawals and suspension of studies

If you wish to discontinue your studies, please contact the Kuula-opisto office by e-mail at kuula-opisto@vaasa.fi, or by phone 0400 430 131.

The date of notification will be recorded as the withdrawal date. It may affect the amount of tuition fees.

If a student withdraws or suspends their studies before the ninth lesson/week of the term, they will be charged 50% of the tuition fee. If the withdrawal or suspension occurs after the ninth week of instruction, the student will be charged the full tuition fee.

If a student starts in the middle of an academic year, only half the tuition fee will be charged if there are less than nine weeks left in the term. If there are at least nine weeks left, the tuition fee will be charged in full.

The tuition fee will only be reduced if the withdrawal is due to reasons beyond the student’s control, such as illness or other unforeseeable circumstances. The request should be made in writing to the Rector of Kuula-Opisto. The amount of the reduction is proportional to the number of classes missed/tuition fee.

If a new pupil withdraws from Music Playschool, Music Preparation or Dance-Music Mix before the fourth week of the term, the tuition fee will be waived in full.

If a student withdraws from an open studies programme, they will be invoiced for the number of lessons attended.
